Retreat.

                                         Retreat.

SOLD OUT- THANK YOU

Join me Julie on our my first retreat co hosting with Crafthouse Magic and Seren Yarns

Myself Ellie, Crafthouse Magic and Emma of Seren Yarns will be co hosting Ipswich Norwich Knitting derby. We’re inviting you to join us  Monday February 24th to Thursday 27th.

The Old Neptune is a delightful building full of space, character and charm. A magnificent 15th Century Grade II listed building steeped in history. Conveniently  located on Ipswich waterfront with vibrant restaurants, independent cafes and is easily accessible by rail and road

All friends were strangers once, with this in mind relaxing in good company, sharing our knitting tips and having the best time is the focus of our few days together.

Our retreat is a very informal, unstructured event, We are hoping to have a tutorial of some kind but its still in the idea stage. If you want to do it do, if you dont then dont.

Whilst there won’t be any maid service there will always be a hot kettle a smile and a biscuit to hand. Towels and linen provided.  All meals are included in the price.  Ellie, Emma and I want everyone to have a fabulous time.

The dining room sits 26 people making it possible to have day attendees. An ideal area for us to sit, natter, knit ,drink tea and eat cake. Whats not to love

All meals are included in the price. Continental breakfast, buffet lunch, evening meal.  Hot and cold drinks will be available to make , so help yourself . Cakes and biscuits will come out to play during the day.

Due to the age and Grade ll listing of the building unfortunately this venue is not suitable for people with mobility issues as there are spiral staircases and lots of different levels. The decision will be yours and the owners have stressed they or retreat organisers cannot be held responsible or accountable should you choose to attend.

There’s plenty of space for everyone, the lovely comfy sofas are arranged around the huge fireplace, once lit we might all end up fast asleep with our knitting in our laps.

There’s plenty to see if you want to blow the cobwebs away Take a  walk along the marina or a walk through our fabulous park in the centre of Ipswich finishing off with a look around Christchurch Mansion. If there are no cobwebs you can relax in Neptune House with a lovely hot drink, cake and your craft project.

Mini Market Place

If your an attendee, a maker and would like to take part in our mini market let us know. The Mini market will take place one afternoon, ideal if you’d like to take home a souvenir of your week. Only attendees can take part in vending at our retreat and you have to be the maker. No selling or vending for another maker, dyer, etc can be allowed at the mini market.

Our last evening will see us dining at one of the lovely bistros ( drinks not included in price) on the Waterfront and having a slow meander home for a night cap.
