Autumn feeling

On Sunday we attended the wedding of one of our best friends. What a fabulous day. Everything was perfect including the weather, goodness it was warm.

We woke up on Monday and welcomed Autumn, it arrived with rain, a tad windy and its was cold. After such fabulous weather the day before I couldnt beleive it and I hadnt packed a single wooly thing Im now sat at home with the heating on. The plus side is that at last I can get all my woolly goodness out YAYYYYYYY! I love Autumn.

Lots has been going on here at Suffolk Socks HQ. In July we introduced some new packaging.

Socks in a Box

Going forward all Yarn Tart Yarns will be caked up and packaged in a brown box, its great, Ive popped a hole in the lid so if you want it can become a recycleable yarn pot. At the moment I have 2 Socks in a Box ranges.

School Socks Kits. 100gms of main colour and 4 x 5 gms of a contrast colour.

These have a nostalgic feel to them. Traditional vintage school socks. They are all named after House teams from my school days, Ive already knit 3 pairs for the men in my family who have all requested them and as I type Ive got new colours in the pot.

Soft Socks is our 2nd range. SW Merino, Nylon and enough cashmere just to have a bit of indulgence. Shades go from an undyed yarn to patel then to some brights.

Ive knit several of my new sock designs using Soft Socks and Ive had to hide them

Playtime is a very simple 2 st design over 3 rows, and ideal very simple detail to move up from vanilla socks.

Buttercup Meadow. Ive customised these repeating design 1 then continuing design 2 down leg and foot of sock. The original pattern is  to alternate.

We now have a great range of Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply and DK .Its so hard not casting all the things on. WARNING! lots of oohhing and  ahhhing about to happen.

After seeing all these shades Im now off to knit some of the DK I cast on at the weekend.

48 sts, 3.25mm and All about You design with a twist.

Happy Knitting
